Jamilla Deville is the creator of The Art of Pole series of DVDs and classes.

Beginning her dance training with ballet and then jazz and african dance, Jamilla later trained in aerial arts such as trapeze, corde lisse (rope) and tissu (silks).  She was a performer at the Opening Ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Having won multiple awards in competitions such as Miss Nude Australia and Miss Erotica, Jamilla was awarded the title of Miss Pole Dance Australia in 2005.  Since then she has continued to work in the industry as a world-renowned showgirl and pole dancer.  

Since 2008 Jamilla has been one of the most in-demand instructors internationally, crossing several continents every year.  Her tours have taken her from east to west and back again across the US (including her favourite destination for three years running, Las Vegas); as well as the UK, France, Finland, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, and of course across Australia, including Perth, Melboure, and Brisbane.

Most recently, Jamilla has been voted by her peers as the current IPDFA Instructor of the Year - for both 2009 & 2010!

 

 

 

Performing in concerts and competitions from the age of 8, Elle trained in Physical Culture and Contemporary Dance in her lead up to discovering pole dancing.  She is an avid believer in all that pole dancing can bring to ones life - fun, fitness and confidence!  The path in pole dancing is exciting and bright for Elle, who is looking to compete and to continue teaching for years to come.

 

 

 

 

Dallas Dee started pole dancing about 4 years ago and has been addicted ever since. She has a background in gymnastics – having competed at a national level.

She has performed in a number of competitions and showcases around Sydney including: Pole Candy, Sexpo and the Art of Pole Christmas Show. This year she competed in the national finals of the Asia-Pacific Pole Dance Championships.

Dallas Dee believes that pole dancing offers women a fun combination of strength training, cardio, flex training, which can help them grow to love their bodies.

She has a Bachelor of Media and is currently completing her Masters of Teaching.

 

 

Missy started pole dancing in early 2004 and saw it as a perfect way to combine her gymnastics and dance training.  She was instantly in love... and bruised.  She developed from eager student, to teacher and performer.

Missy has competed nationally in Miss Pole Dance Australia in 2009 & 2010 and placed 2nd in the Womens Freestyle Division of the Australian Pole Dance Championships in 2009.

Fusing her love of contemporary dance with her imaginative, quirky choreography, Missy has been shattering the strip club stereotype of pole dancing locally, interstate, and internationally.

 

Glen is a dancer and Russian-trained acrobat.  Like an original Billy Elliott, Glen was once a motorcross-loving boiler maker who was introduced to the world of adagio (duo balance), vaudeville, acrobatics and dance at the age of 18.   And he's never looked back!

From Cats to the Crazy Horse Paris, Glen has performed on stages the world over.  Recently collaborating with companies such as Circus Oz and Rock & Roll Circus, Glen now brings his wealth of experience to The Art of Pole!

 

Sarah-Jane started pole dancing in 2009 and has never looked back since, Since the age of three Sarah-Jane has participated in Elite gymnastics. Taking out many titles including National Championship 2002 and Best Junior Elite Gymnast in 2003, Sarah-Jane has also studied ballet, contemporary, Jazz, and hip hop. She is a qualified gymnastics and gym instructor and was teaching gymnastics and acrobatics for seven years before moving to instructing pole.
