Check out my little homemade tutorial on a move that is core to everything in pole from Intermediate levels onwards. The Straddle is a fundamental of lifting, flipping, curling, and extending and so much more. Performed incorrectly, it can very quickly pull muscles in your back, which in turn pull on your ribs and spine. Performed well, it looks amazing! Unnecessary injuries are happening too often however, and so I wanted to offer some information to the pole world to make this move not only safe, but also graceful and seemingly effortless.
